Changing the SCU Idle Timeout

In-field MCU Setup – Calibration Menu Only.
Written for SCU firmware version 2.14 and MCU version 3.76

IMPORTANT NOTES
-- THE LAST STEP IS VERY IMPORTANT – if do not perform this step, your changes will be lost in the sands of time.

-- For some menu selections the No/Cancel button will turn a feature off and the Yes/OK button will turn that feature on (e.g Manual Transactions, Negative Transactions, Extended timeout enabled and others).
-- If at any time you make a mistake or you're unsure if you entered the correct details, press the "Shutdown" button on the keypad and you will be returned to the start of the CALibration menu in Supervisor mode.

1. Enter Supervisor Mode by hitting the "Log" button twice and then press the "Yes/OK" button.

2. Enter the supervisor code (you may need to ask your supervisor for this) and press "Yes/OK".

3. Press the "C" button to enter the calibration (CAL) menu.

4. Press "No/Cancel" for "View K-Factors?"

5. Press "No/Cancel" for "Modify K-Factors?"

6. The display will now show something like this: 
IDLE TIMEOUT
-> 00020
The Idle timeout sets the period that a transaction will remain open after pulses from the attached meter have stopped. Entering 00120 will keep a transaction open for two minutes.
Press the "Yes/OK" button to keep the current setting OR enter the new value starting with leading zeroes.

7. Press "Yes/OK" for "ODOM TIMEOUT" to keep the current settings or enter new settings and then press "Yes/OK" button.

8. Press "Yes/OK" for "DELIVERY TIMEOUT" to keep the current settings or enter new settings and then press "Yes/OK" button.

9. Press "Yes/OK" for "PRE FLOW TIMEOUT" to keep the current settings or enter new settings and then press "Yes/OK" button.

10. Press "Yes/OK" for "KEYPAD TIMEOUT" to keep the current settings or enter new settings and then press "Yes/OK" button.

11. Press "Yes/OK" for "EXT. TIMEOUT" to keep the current settings or enter new settings and then press "Yes/OK" button.

12. If manual transactions are allowed (field ID authorised dispenses) next screen will display:
MANUAL TRANSACT
(Y/N) -> Y 
Press "Yes/OK" to turn the feature on OR press "No/Cancel" to turn this feature off.

13. Next screen is "NEGATIVE TRANS" - press "Yes/OK" to turn this feature on, press "No/Cancel" to turn it off.

14. Next screen is "EXTENDED TIMEOUT EN" - press "Yes/OK" to turn this feature on, press "No/Cancel" to turn it off.

15. Next screen is "ODOM ENTRY RQRD" - press "Yes/OK" to turn this feature on, press "No/Cancel" to turn it off.

16. Next screen is "USE VEHICLE DESC" - press "Yes/OK" to turn this feature on, press "No/Cancel" to turn it off.

17. Next screen is "ACCESS EQUIP&LV" - press "Yes/OK" to turn this feature on, press "No/Cancel" to turn it off (LVs only).

18. Next screen is "MAN HRS/KM REQD" - press "Yes/OK" to turn this feature on, press "No/Cancel" to turn it off.

19. Next screen is "USER ID REQUIRED" - press "Yes/OK" to only allow dispenses to users with RFID cards or PIN, press "No/Cancel" to turn it off.

20. Next screen is "ALPHA EQUIP IDS" - press "Yes/OK" if your dispense equipment has letters in their ID, press "No/Cancel" to turn it off.

21. Next screen is "MANUAL DELIVERY" - press "Yes/OK" to allow for manual deliveries, press "No/Cancel" to turn it off.

21a. If Manual Deliveries are on, you will be presented with screens to setup the data required from the driver:
"DOCKET ID REQD" – if you press the "Yes/OK" button, then you will be presented with:
21b. "ALPHA DOCKET ID" - press "Yes/OK" to allow the driver to enter letters and numbers for the docket field.
21c. Next screen will be "DRIVER ID REQD" - - press "Yes/OK" to force the driver to enter some identifying information.
21d. Next screen will be "ALPHA DRIVER ID" - - press "Yes/OK" to allow the driver to enter letters and numbers.
21e. Next screen will be "COMPANY ID REQD" - - press "Yes/OK" to force the driver to enter some company information.
21f. Next screen will be "ALPHA COMP. ID" - - press "Yes/OK" to allow the driver to enter letters and numbers.

22. Next screen is "CHECK HRS/KM" - press "Yes/OK" to turn on the new Range feature where business rules around entering engine hours are enforced at the MCU.

23. Next screen is "ENFORCE SAFE FL" - press "Yes/OK" to enforce this rule at the MCU. Press "No/Cancel" to disable this feature.

24. Press "No/Cancel" for "NO. TRIPLE METERS"

25. Press "No/Cancel" for "NO. DOUBLE METERS"

26. Press "No/Cancel" for "MODIFY MIN VOLS"

The SCU Calibration Mode is now completed.

27. YOU MUST NOW PRESS THE SHUTDOWN BUTTON "B" TO REBOOT THE SCU, this saves changes to the internal non-volatile memory.

 

IF THE ABOVE STEPS DO NOT ALLOW FOR DISPENSING, RESET THE CABINET.
